It’s that time of year when the majority of American’s begin dreaming of exciting ways to dress their turkey and impress their friends and families with new takes on classic dishes (Hashed Turnips anyone?).
More importantly, Thanksgiving provides Americans the impetus to reflect on the past year and give thanks for everything that we hold near and dear to our hearts. Here’s a few things we here at LOOPTWORKS are thankful for:
- Loved ones
- Friendship
- Roofs over our heads
- The delicious food we are about to eat
- Waterproof shoes
- Our pets
- Working cars & bikes to get us around
- Generally functioning
- Laughter
- Our new website!
- NOT CONTRIBUTING TO WASTE CREATION

Well, we are so thankful about providing solutions for excess materials (i.e. creating upcycled clothing and gear) that we’ve put together several specials for the holidays, starting on 11/21/12. Not only do LOOPTWORKS’ creations look and feel good but these quality products help conserve water and reduce carbon emissions by not using virgin resources (each one of our blank tee’s saves over 400 gallons of water just by being upcycled).

Summer & Fall Activities 2012

We here at Looptworks have had a busy summer & fall. We’ve created some great new products, like our upcycled Leather Ipad cases (the Luhu & Shaxi), been approved by the College Licensing Company to produce licensed college apparel & gear, partnered with Douglas Stewart, and held/attended some great events.
Summer Sample Sale!
Early on in the summer, LOOPTWORKS held a Sample Sale at our HQ offices in Portland. Our local fans came to visit and it’s such a thrill to see our creations now walking down the street. Did you miss your opportunity to come say “hi”, meet the team, and score some great discounts? Don’t fret, you can sign up for our newsletter & e-alerts to make sure you don’t miss the next one. Hint: there may be a Holiday Sample Sale coming up 
Fall Tradeshows & Events
This fall we set up booths at the Susan G Komen Expo, the ReUse Conex, and the PCCE Tradeshow. All three proved to be great ways to meet new fans of upcycling, inspire and get inspired, and get feedback on “what the people want”. Founder, Scott Hamlin, also presented at a couple of these events and helped audiences more clearly understand the magnitude of excess out there and how LOOPTWORKS works with companies and manufacturers to intercept it and put it to good use.
