Long before our upcycled collections hit the virtual shelves (and physical shelves if you live near our SE Portland, Oregon workshop), our designers and production team spend hours envisioning the core purpose of each product.
This process helps us find the balanced sweet spot of materials, form, and function — always while using as few resources as possible. For this whimsical collection, we sourced materials from The New Denim Project, a third-generation family owned textile mill in Guatamela that transforms cotton scraps into beautiful recycled fabrics.
All of their materials are created within a circular system that is "restorative and regenerative by design, aiming to keep materials and components at their highest form of use and value at all times. It preserves and enhances natural resources, optimizes their yield, and minimizes system risks by managing renewable sources and flows."

Inspired by its classic stripes in soft white and muted indigo, along with its durability, we chose their durable cotton denim and twill. We envisioned a collection perfect for memorable summer escapes from coastal getways to farm-to-table dinners during golden hour — and possibly even a romantic escape to Greece.
Our newest collection will be available in just a couple of weeks. In the meantime, you can learn more about our Cafe Collection made from twice-upcycled Nossa Familia coffee bags from The New Denim Project.
