Video: How to Make Your Closet A Force for Good with Scott Welch

Scott Welch Director of the Loopt Foundation

It’s Giving Tuesday featuring our nonprofit partner the Loopt Foundation — and today you can double your impact! We’re happy to be donating 10% of proceeds from all purchases of our upcycled goods to help support the Loopt Foundation’s mission to end global textile waste.

Giving Tuesday reimagines a world built upon shared humanity and generosity. Every year, a global network collaborates to inspire generosity around the world, with a common mission to build a world where generosity is part of everyday life. Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts, and everyone has something to give.

We sat down with Executive Director of the Loopt Foundation Scott Welch to hear how he’s partnering with the community to take on textile waste one closet at a time. The philosophy is simple: by choosing to wear what we already have instead of buying new clothes, we can each participate in tackling textile waste in our own homes. The Loopt Foundation has recently partnered with EcoAthletes to raise awareness around conscious clothing decisions — and he invites everyone to join their pledge to Swear to Wear All Garments.
