Former airline seats make great Christmas gifts
A Portland company that recycles textiles is now selling bags and other items fabricated some 43 acres of leather once used by Southwest Airlines for seats. Looptworks partnered with the airline earlier this year when Southwest needed an outlet for leather as it upgraded some 80,000 seats with lighter, more sustainable products. The move was part of a larger upgrade to passenger cabins.
