About Project LUV Seat

In order to conserve fuel, our airline partners replaced their heavy leather airline seats with a lighter-weight material, and they wanted to ensure that the journey didn’t end for 80,000 leather seat covers. We upcycled the seat leather into the In-Flight Collection, conserving an estimated 2,000 gallons of water per pound of leather! Learn how we repurposed airline seat covers and turned them into bags, and the design challenges we faced here.
