Take flight with the In Flight LUV Weekender Duffel Bag, designed for your expeditions while honoring its origins. Each Weekender Duffel Bag is constructed by upcycling leather seat covers from Southwest Airlines seats, breathing a second life into the retired leather as it begins a new adventure with you.
Each bag conserves roughly 5,600 gallons of water and there is a CO2 reduction of up to 82%. Additionally, we partnered with Relay Resources, a non-profit that employs adults with disabilities to dismantle and clean the seats. So not only do you have a bag with history, you can feel good about the purchase you've made too.

About Project LUV Seat
In order to conserve fuel, Southwest Airlines replaced their heavy leather airline seats with a lighter weight material, and they wanted to ensure that the journey didn’t end for 80,000 leather seat covers. We upcycled the seat leather into the In Flight Collection, conserving an estimated 2,000 gallons of water per pound of leather!
Learn how we repurposed airline seat covers and turned them into bags, and the design challenges we faced here.
