The athletic teams at the University of Oregon are known for having the coolest, most innovative uniforms in the country, with options for every game, match or meet. But what do you do with all the excess uniforms? Upcycle them of course.
In partnership with the University of Oregon athletic and academic departments, Looptworks introduces a new collection of fan gear upcycled from excess athletic uniforms. Going from field to fan, it doesn’t get any more authentic than this when showing your support for the Ducks.
The new Looptworks Re-Duck collection of upcycled backpacks, hip packs and pillows rescues excess athletic uniforms that may have ended up in a landfill and repurposes them into fun and useful limited edition products for Duck fans everywhere. This small batch of Earth friendly products makes sure premium quality excess materials do not go to waste, and are an ideal way for fans to support the team, the school and the environment. Each product features unique branding and details from actual athletic uniforms. For example, a pillow made from old baseball uniforms features a pants pocket, while back pack straps use the sleeves of a volleyball uniform that say “Mighty Ducks.”
By purchasing upcycled products made from excess materials versus buying something made from virgin materials, you can help conserve water, avoid carbon emissions and avoid excess materials from going to landfill or incineration. All Looptworks Re-Duck products are made locally in Oregon with the help of those facing barriers to employment, contributing to the local economy. Additionally, students from the Sports Product Management program within the UO Lundquist College of Business help design develop and market ReDuck gear and a portion of the proceeds are donated back to the school, allowing you to support U of O teams and students.
