Sometimes you just need a pack that can carry the stuff you need and nothing you don’t. We like to have our cake and eat it too, so we made our new Going Backpack (named for a popular bike route in Portland, the Going Street Greenway) a rolltop. It features a low profile ideal for those trips where you just need to carry the essentials (for us this means our water bottle, coffee, laptop and a jacket) while easily squeezing onto a crowded commuter train or bus during rush hour. When you need to haul more, the Going expands almost magically to absorb a surprising amount of cargo.
A sternum strap and daisy chain on the rear make it also fantastic to wear while Going (sorry, we can’t resist) by bike as well, helping the pack secure while riding and providing locations to mount a light.
To secure the main compartment, we added a Fidlock quick attach buckle that features a magnet for snappy one handed fastening. The strong magnet makes it easy to close and allows easy one-handed operation.
The roll top design features a padded laptop slot and an internal zipper pocket for organization. There's also an external zipper pocket that can fit a u-lock, iPad or similarly sized items. (a smaller u-lock also fits the side pockets)
At Looptworks, we rescue the world's excess materials and transform them into amazing products. It's called Upcycling and it reduces waste, while conserving water and promoting fresh air.
The Going Rolltop is constructed using excess materials, including 1000d polyester from the outdoor gear industry. The result is a backpack that’s built to last, conserves water, and reduces CO2 emissions.
Low-impact products aren’t just about how they’re made, but about how they hold up. The longer a product lasts, the less waste we see in the long run.
That’s why everything we make comes with our Loopt4Life guarantee, our ironclad promise that our products can be trusted to last a lifetime.Already bought a Looptworks product? Register here.
